Description
BCSP is seeking early-career safety professionals with diverse backgrounds who can provide unique insight and conduct outreach and advocacy informed by the perspectives and interests of emerging professionals in the industry.
Members of the Emerging Professionals Committee (EPC) collaborate with BCSP to increase community awareness of safety practice; network with SH&E students about career pathways, credentials, and scholarships; and develop strategies to better engage and serve emerging professionals.
Recognizing that the world’s demographics are rapidly changing, the committee values generational and ethnic diversity as essential to the continued growth and relevance of the profession.
To qualify, potential Committee Members must:
• Provide a reference letter and resume.
• Have 2-7 years of relevant professional experience and be currently employed in a safety role.
• Be a BCSP credential holder for no longer than five (5) years.
• Aspire to be an executive leader within the safety profession.
• Demonstrate commitment and dedication to BCSP, its Mission, and Vision.
• Have the support of their employer to participate.
• Commit to a three (3) year term with an average time dedication of at least two (2) hours per month.
